Scandinavian Airlines enhanced Smart Device App

APEX EXPO did us the honor to publish an article in their magazine on our collaboration with SAS .

Scandinavian Airlines enhanced its mobile application with the addition of local and international newspapers and magazines such as The Independent, International New York Times and China Daily, as well as Aftenposten and Aftonbladet.

SAS worked with Adaptive to bring these titles together. Passengers can access the kiosk up to 22 hours before take-off. SAS in-flight publication Scanorama is, however, always accessible.

SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES DEPLOYS AN INNOVATIVE DIGITAL PRESS SOLUTION – POWERED BY ADAPTIVE CHANNEL’S SOFTWARE PLATFORM ‘ACES’.

In line with SAS’s new e-commerce strategy the airline commissioned Adaptive to integrate its innovative digital press platform (ACES) into the airline’s existing smart devices application designed for all passengers including frequent flyers – offering mobile boarding pass, seat selection, flight information,

The App gives travelling passengers access to the airlines award winning in-flight magazine Scanorama, plus other in-house material, but also delivers daily Scandinavian and International newspapers in multiple languages. The Application is available for free download in both the iTunes and Google Play stores.

Rick Stuart, CBDO at Adaptive, noted “we are especially pleased to have been chosen by SAS to partner on this initiative and it is an excellent example of how forward thinking airlines are beginning to view passenger services as something to be integrated across the entire customer journey rather than a singular ‘touch point’, especially given the almost exponential rise in mobile usage on smart devices.
